A Hawker selling snake skin

Today as we went through the crowdy congested market in Lakhimpur kheeri (district in eastern UP region), I saw a hawker selling the dead skin leftover by a snake as it changes into its new skin. The sight was overwhelming as you see different salable items in market: D. I mean recession is not that bad is it that people have resorted to selling such frivolous materials. And what was even more surprising was the fact that there were many people negotiating over the price trying to make a deal. Don’t really know what is that skin (called kechuli in hindi) is really used for, my dad then told me that it does have some medicinal properties.

Well as they say….you live long enough you get to see almost everything possible.
